SOLUS 6300
Aluminum Conductive Paste for PV Applications
Paste Description: SOLUS 6300 is a screen printable silver/aluminum paste designed to enable interconnections between several cells with a reduced contact resistance loss at the p-doped Si interface. The paste can be printed using a 200-325 mesh screen in a well ventilated room at a temperature of about 25-30oC. Drying of the paste typically takes 2-4 minutes in an IR belt dryer at a peak of 200-250oC or about 5 minutes in a circulated air oven. Typical firing range is in the order of 900-930oC in an IR belt furnace depending on the thickness of the substrate and the weight of the wet film. A typical firing profile is shown in Fig. 1.
Technical Advantage: The paste is designed using a glass with <1% Lead (Pb) content. SOLUS 6300 paste, utilized for a two-stage firing or co-firing sequence, has enhanced adhesion and provides excellent solderability. The fired paste allows a minimum resistive loss between the uniform aluminum layer and the Ag/Al contact area. The shelf life of the paste is in excess of 6 months if capped tightly after each use. Solus 6300 can be thinned if needeed to adjust the viscosity usisng Cermet's formulated thinner. Resistivity of the fired paste on a Cz substrate is stable over the recommended firing range.
Cermet always welcomes the opportunity to modify/customize our standard products to meet each customer's unique requirements and processes.
