SOLUS 6210
Pb-Free Fritted Aluminum Conductive Paste for PV Applications
Paste Description: SOLUS 6210 is a Pb-Free, fritted, screen printable aluminum paste designed to provide a uniform back surface field after co-firing. The paste can be printed using a 200-325 mesh screen in a well ventilated area at a temperature of about 25-30 oC. Drying of the paste typically takes 2-4 minutes in an IR belt drier at a peak of 200-350 oC or about 5 minutes in a circulated air oven. Typical firing range in on the order of 800-950 oC depending on the sheet resistivity, type of antireflective coating, the thickness of the substrate, the belt speed, and the agressiveness of the front silver paste.
Technical Advantage: The paste is designed not only to meet EU requirements but also to enhance the Al/Si eutectic interface for a co-firing processing sequence thereby improving the effectiveness of the p+ layer for thinner mono and multicrystalline wafers. The formulation allows uniform BSF formation which tends to improve the red response of the solar cells. SOLUS 6210 is designed to render a low bowing substrate after firing on substrates 250um or less without sacrificing performance. There is also no penetration of Al/Si intermetallic through the unreacted Al layer during cooling due to its well controlled kinetics. The shelf life of the paste is in excess of 6 months if capped tightly after each use. SOLUS 6210 can be thinned if needed to adjust the viscosity using Cermet's formulated thinner. Resistivity of the fired paste on a Cz/multcrystalline substrate is stable over the recommended firing range.
Cermet always welcomes the opportunity to modify/customize our standard products to meet each customer's unique requirements and processes.
