Manufacturer of Thick Film Pastes and Powders for the
Electronics Industry


Cermet Materials, Inc., was founded in 1985 to manufacture powders and thick film pastes for the multi-layer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) and hybrid circuit industries. Recently, Cermet has introduced screen printable conductive pastes for the photovoltaic (PV) industry. The years of technical know-how in thick film manufacturing and excellent customer service enabled Cermet to swiftly introduce PV pastes into the market. Our PV product line consists of Aluminum (SOLUS6200, 6205 and 6210), Silver/Aluminum (SOLUS6300) and Silver (SOLUS6400) thick film pastes for Cz/multi-crystalline silicon applications. Below is a brief description of our product line:

SOLUS 6200 is a screen printable fritless aluminum paste which requires a minimal laydown thickness to achieve a uniform p+ back surface field.

SOLUS 6205 is a fritted screen printable aluminum paste designed to provide a uniform back surface field when co-fired on substrates 250um or less in thickness without sacrificing perforance.

SOLUS 6210 is a Pb free fritted screen printable aluminum paste designed to meet EU requirements and enhance the Al/Si eutectic alloy formation when co-fired on substrates 250um or less in thickness

SOLUS 6300 is a screen printable low Pb (<1% ), Cd free, fritted Ag/Al paste with a high pull strength and easy solderability. The fired paste allows a minimal resistive loss between the uniform aluminum layer and the Ag/Al contact area.

SOLUS 6400 is a screen printable silver paste for firing onto Si3N4 or TiO2 anti-reflective coatings with a wide firing window and without the deleterious effects of parasitic resistive losses. The fired film has an average peak-to-valley of ~20um and a high gridline resolution with less than 5% deviation from the optimum grid pattern width.
